To be fair though, Uranus doesn't count as archwing. That's why we call it sharkwing.Īrchwing was added after the parkour rework. It was envisioned to be a sorta space dogfight sim. But it didn't work because they couldn't get the map size big enough. They had to resort to shrinking the size of our avatars to make the map "bigger". But when they're working on making the map bigger, they got the idea for a large open world map instead. The real problem with archwing is that there is very little variety to the game style. On land, you have your movement system on top of shooting and slashing and using powers. In AW you only have shooting and sometimes powers. There is no sense of skill in the movement and melee is just spamming the attack button. Or just relegate it to a side activity for Railjack. I thought AW was cool until I did the racing levels, it was not fun and I never could kill the escaping ships in time. Pursuit is the worst when you don't have Fluctus yet.
